General Update (March 24, 2020)
During the uncertainty of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), we want to keep you up-to-date with what’s happening at Ignite and the measures we are taking as a business to ensure the safety of all our stakeholders and the broader community during this unprecedented time.
Firstly, we want to assure you that Ignite Limited will continue to operate throughout this period. Our focus remains clear, to support you, our candidates and our clients, in all your recruitment, On Demand and People Services needs.
While we continue to operate, the safety and wellbeing of our employees, candidates, contractors and clients is our number one priority. With this in mind, we are following the advice of the Australian Government, the World Health Organisation and other relevant medical experts to ensure we implement safety measures to support all our stakeholders and the broader community during this time:
- We have increased sanitary and hygiene practices at all Ignite offices
- We have educated all employees about appropriate sanitary and hygiene practices
- We have restricted all corporate travel and enforced self-isolation when necessary
- We have followed all relevant government and medical rules and recommendations
- We have undertaken a successful business-wide working from home (WFH) trial
- We have provided stakeholders with regular updates and information about the virus
In addition to these measures, we are constantly monitoring developments relating to COVID-19 and adapting our processes accordingly in response. Above all, rest assured Ignite is committed to continuing all business operations in a responsible and safe manner throughout this period.
Ignite Business Continuity (March 23, 2020)
Ignite held a successful testing of internal staff working from home (WFH) arrangements. This ensures the ongoing service provision to our clients including providing labour-hire contractors, permanent recruitment services, account management, payrolling and invoicing.
In particular, Ignite has implemented measures to ensure all business-critical operations can be performed remotely should the Government, office landlords or Ignite mandate the closure of Ignite offices requiring employees to work from home for extended periods.
Labour-Hire Contractor Continuity (March 23, 2020)
Labour-hire contractors are engaged by Ignite to work onsite under the supervision, direction and control of our clients utilising their equipment and facilities.
We ask that you inform Ignite immediately of any COVID-19 related changes to your business operations including facilities closures, virus outbreaks at your facilities, remote working requirements for labour-hire contractors or the need to terminate or stand-down any labour-hire contractors.
Ignite will work with our clients to ensure any labour-hire contractors required to work remotely are able to do so utilising our client’s equipment and have access to our client’s network, systems and applications to ensure continuity of services. Ignite has begun requiring contractors to undertake a Working From Home WHS Self-Assessment checklist. These are reviewed and recorded within our CRM.
Ignite will also work with our clients to ensure labour-hire contractors are informed of the process for claiming from our clients any remote working expenses they may incur.
Ignite will continue to work with you with your staffing needs, and ensure any new contractors are fit to attend your workplaces.
Ignite will continue to maintain relevant and regular communication with our clients and our labour-hire contractors to ensure minimal disruption to the services provided during this time.
Past announcements may be updated or removed as required, to ensure accuracy and limit confusion during this time. This page may be updated without notice.
