APS 5 - Project Officer

Ignite is seeking a Project Officer, who is accountable under limited direction for delivering results in accordance with the requirements of their work area and team plans, for our client – a major National Government department and scheme which partners in the Taskforce delivery of high performing, high integrity, trusted national project dealings. 

Key responsibilities:

·          Provide advice and support and be accountable to understand, analyse and interpret legislation, policies, strategies and program/project plans.

·          Monitor and review program and project activities against plans.

·          Possess enough breadth of program and project expertise to identify, analyse and implement alternative courses of action.

·          Understand the strategic objectives of program and project activities.

·          Consult and share information with own team and maximise team strengths to achieve program, project and business outcomes.




Must have:

·          Have a thorough understanding of the requirements of the position, as well as the legislative and corporate frameworks that underpin its activities.

·          Positive contemporary attitudes to people with disability.

·          Understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals.

·          Competency with IT systems

·          Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.

·          Ability to synthesise and analyse information and make decisions

·          Be accountable for organising your own workflow and for making decisions in relation to your work area and team plans to support program, project and team outcomes.  

·          Be required to provide detailed technical, professional and policy advice and support in relation to program and project management. 

It is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding or lived experience in the field of disability.
