APS6 Senior Project Officer

Ignite is seeking a Senior Project Officer to support and assist our client - a major National Government Department and Scheme which partners in the Task-Force delivery of high performing, high integrity, trusted national project dealings.

The Senior Project Officer will be responsible for supporting the Assistant Director, National Partner Performance Team to assist state based Partner Performance teams in the management of the branches responsibilities, events, projects and communications.

The role will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Assistant Director to coordinate and manage Partner Performance Branch actions and responsibilities, including but not limited to the dissemination of communications, collation of data and reporting, administering Quarterly Strategic Planning, arranging meetings, forums and events.

Key responsibilities:
  • Liaise with Partner Performance & Relationships Branch and other internal stakeholders in business units across the Agency.
  • Develop effective working relationships to drive performance and quality outcomes from PITC.
  • Assist the branch in developing continuous improvements and design initiatives for the development of the Partners in the Community Program to achieve outcomes for participants and value for money for the Agency.
  • Assist in the project management, co-ordination and delivery of regular national and state based forums for LAC and ECEI partners.
  • Assist in the co-ordination of state based Quarterly Strategic meetings.
  • Co-ordinate the collection and collation of Partner reporting and data.
  • Support the Assistant Director in the preparation of high quality and timely correspondence, briefs and reports as requested.
  • Ensure the development and dissemination of accurate and timely information to Partners in the Community.
  • Support state based Partner Performance teams to deliver the outcomes of the Partners in the Community program.

Must have:
  • Positive contemporary attitudes to people with disability.
  • Understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals.
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Strong and adaptable communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work closely and collaboratively with team members across all states in remote locations.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to synthesise and analyse information and make decisions.
  • Ability to provide a management and mentoring role within the team.
