Account Broker

An opportunity has arisen for an Account Broker to join the Health Professionals division within a well-respected multi-channel insurance brokerage. The purpose of this role is to contribute to the growth of the business whilst retaining existing business. This is done by living the company values and demonstrating a commitment to empowering people, businesses and communities to thrive.

This is a 12-month maternity leave contract position due to start Early February 2019.

The ideal candidate has experience as a tier one broker. Has a tertiary qualification in a business related discipline and holds a current RG 146 certificate.

Through their previous experience (2 years minimum) the ideal candidate will be able to:

  • manage a portfolio of clients
  • maintain growth and service standards
  • develop new business relationships
  • present client renewal and new business terms
  • effectively communicate (both written and verbal)
  • build strong relationships.

Skill requirements:

  • Technical Insurance/Brokering skills in accordance with RG 146.
  • Legislative obligations – FSG, SOA, GAW
  • Technologically savvy
  • Ability to utilise insurance based computer software
  • Invoicing and credit control procedures.
