Assistant Director

Our client is seeking for an Assistant Director who is accountable to research, develop and provide subject matter expertise to support participants from identified population groups. The Branch work closely with Service Delivery and Performance and Pathway branches that require the implementation of specific services, considerations or pathways. These population groups include Hearing, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mental Health, Neurological and Muscular Degeneration, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds and LGBTIQA+ communities.

Your duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct research on Communities of Practice to identify best practice.
  • Work with branch teams to establish and maintain communities of practice for their cohorts.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in relation to practice approaches and resources.
  • Contribute to the broader work of the Branch
  • Assist in the development and distribution of internal and external communications to inform and consult with the NDIA network, including our Partners in the Community and also key Government partners.
  • Develop, contribute and provide assurance of high quality and high profile briefings, business cases and other executive material as required.
  • Present reports in a visually clear manner and accessible in accordance with Agency’s policies and standards.
  • Identify program risks and issues and be able to seek out mitigation or escalation actions to remedy.
