Casual Certificate III Educators

Ignite Recruitment is looking for impressive, passionate and reliable Educators to work on a casual and on call basis, in Child Care Centres around Sydney.  The centres you will be working in are high quality and well-resourced, where the staff place the care and education of children as their priority. If you are studying Early Childhood and have 6 months experience with children we are the agency you want to be working with!

About the role:

Working as a casual for Early Learning Placements, you will enjoy a flexible working schedule that suits your availability. Shifts can vary from 4 to 10 hours in length and are available Monday to Friday. You will be working with children between 0 and 6 years old, within centres across the Sydney
Metropolitan area.

Responsibilities required but not limited to:

  • Prepare and facilitate group sessions
  • Document and interpret children's behaviour, educational development and social skills 
  • Develop and maintain  individual portfolios
  • Communicate effectively with parents, co-workers and children
  • Support, guide and coach less experienced staff as required
  • Supervise children ensuring they are in a safe environment
  • Communicate positively and professionally with children, parents and staff member
The successful candidate will ideally have:
  • Completed, or be actively studying a Certificate III in Early Childhood and Care
  • 6 months previous paid experience working with children
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A genuine passion and enthusiasm for the industry
  • A bright, bubbly, and fun loving personality
  • The ability to be flexible and reliable
  • Be able to work with minimal supervision, and display initiative
  • Have enthusiasm & commitment to the early childhood sector and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive, friendly and "can do" attitude.

A current NSW Working With Children Check clearance is required to work with children.
