Change Manager

Our client is seeking a Change Manager who is accountable under the broad direction for exercising a considerable degree of independence, managing a small team and for planning, coordinating and delivering detailed and complex change assessments and plans that may impact on strategic or operational outcomes for our government client.
Additionally, they will apply knowledge and expertise to keep up to date with new and emerging change management trends and practices in order to develop practical solutions to meet business needs.
Your duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop, implement and evaluate change management plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s Change Management Framework and Change Blueprint, while considering change initiative interdependencies
  • Provide expert advice on the development of business impact assessments and change management plans that align with the NDIA Change Management Framework and Change Blueprint
  • Maintain an Agency-wide view of programs and assist in planning for the management of changes affecting staff and/or participants, partners and other stakeholders
  • Support the coordination of change management activities in conjunction with the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office, workforce planning and communications teams
  • Identify, assess and report possible change risks or issues, as well as recommending treatment strategies
  • Prepare written briefings and advice to senior leaders and governance bodies on planned change roll-outs
  • Apply project management methodologies to meet deadlines and produce high quality outcomes that address business needs within a complex environment
  • Track and evaluate change management activities and propose recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Undertake research, analyse opportunities and prepare recommendations for decision makers based on the application of all available evidence
  • Contribute to team task and direction setting, business planning and developing staff capability through coaching and mentoring
  • Develop productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Depending on the role, contribute to strengthening Agency change management capability, such as:
  • supporting the operations of the Change Network Committee and change management community of practice
  • contributing to the development of a change capability strategy to deliver organisational development and a change management capability uplift
  • developing and maintaining a set of standardised templates, frameworks and tools to enable consistent change management practices across the Agency
  • Demonstrated change management and project management experience, coupled with relevant qualifications
  • Demonstrated success delivering against key performance indicators and delivering results within agreed timeframes
  • Demonstrated success in building momentum for and delivery of change activity
