Claims Consultant

Exciting new opportunity for a Claims Consultant to join a well-established brokerage. We are looking for a driven and proactive individual, who is motivated to further their career in the General Insurance sector. The primary purpose of this role is to support the Commercial Broking team and contribute to overall business growth by providing exceptional claims service to clients. Some general broking support task will also be an integral part of the role.

About the role
  • Claims management, and keeping the broking team updated around the status of claims
  • Liaising with all relevant parties around progress of claims
  • Ensuring the delivering of exceptional and efficient customer service 
  • Using judgement to identify risks and escalating issues where required
  • Ad hoc broking & administrative support as required

Your Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous Claims/Insurance support, preferably within a brokerage
  • Technical & product knowledge, including the ability to interpret insurance policy wordings & relevant legislation
  • Proven history of building and maintaining strong client relationships through exceptional service
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, and a clear communicator 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Tier 1/2 + relevant tertiary qualifications an advantage
  • Strong system skills, including experience using insurance-based software
