Customer Service Officer

Our client has been a nationally leading manufacturer and supplier within the building, irrigation and mining industries for over 50 years. They are renowned for their genuine commitment to customer service, going above and beyond for their clients to ensure they exceed their expectations.

Due to business restructure and growth they are currently seeking additional Customer Service Officers to join their dynamic team!

As Customer Service Officer your role is primarily to provide excellent service to customers and stakeholders and provide support to Territory Managers and other Sales personnel.

Your duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Attending to inbound calls presented to the Call Centre
  • Provide status updates, product availability details, promotion and pricing queries
  • Receive and process orders received via email, phone and the database system
  • Review and maintain backorder reports daily
  • Input accurate customer account notes in the system (Salesforce)
  • Build and sustain strong and positive relationships with customers and team members
  • Assist Customer Service team to achieve Sales Levels in line with KPI’s set for the team
  • Suggest methods to improve efficiency and service to both internal and external customers
To be successful for this position you will need to be the following criteria:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in similar position
  • Prior experience in a sales, distribution or warehouse environment
  • Customer service experience in building, mining or irrigation industries highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Intermediate MS Office and computer skillset, experience in Salesforce highly advantageous
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in regards to literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be able to multitask efficiently
  • Certificate III or equivalent in Business (or related discipline)
