Desktop Support Engineer (Level 2)

Join a large media organisation on a full-time basis helping to support end-users through level 2 IT issues in a really fulfilling environment. The ideal candidate would be used to working in diverse, friendly but also corporate surrounds.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting level 2 (Windows Server 2008/12, Active Directory, Exchange Server 2013, SQL Server, Backup systems)
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and provide helpdesk support for software related problems (Windows 7, Office 2013)
  • Proven skill in the use of the Microsoft Office 2013 software suite.
  • Well-developed knowledge of mobile devices in a corporate setting (iPad, iPhone).
  • Sound knowledge of TCP/IP networking
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate with staff at all levels throughout the organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and exercise judgment
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, at times without supervision
Desirable
  • Experience of cloud technology (Office 365)
  • Experience of SharePoint 2013
  • Experience of virtualization technologies – particularly Citrix (Citrix XenApp, VMWare vSphere)
