IT Helpdesk Manager

I am working with a Government department to find an IT Operations Manager/Service Delivery Manager

This is an initial contract until 30 June 2019 with 1 x 3 month extension.

Under limited direction, you will be required to plan, manage and direct the activities of a team providing Level 1 and Level 2 Help Desk support to the departments users in a Windows network environment. Midrange and (outsources) mainframe platforms are also supported.


You will have:
  • Proven ability to provide high level administrative, strategic planning and operational support, research and advice to senior management on Operational matters such as staff management, IT Service Management, logistical services and information services
  • Sound knowledge and experience in successfully managing and delivering results within time restraints and with competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to communicate with influence, negotiate outcomes and manage complex stakeholder relationships, including across geographically dispersed network.
  • Proven conceptual and analytical abilities with sound knowledge of change management practices and techniques to enable innovation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff while developing capabilities, encouraging career development and embedding professionalism.
