Junior Account Executive - Affinity

We are working with a longstanding, centrally located brokerage that has a vacancy for an Assistant Account Executive/Junior Account Executive to join their Private Clients team. Although your focus will be on Affinity products (Home & Contents, Motor, Landlords insurance), you will be an all-rounder who is happy to assist others in the team as required.

A skilled administrator with immaculate attention to detail, you will be responsible for processing a high volume of renewals, as well as endorsements and cancellations. We are looking for a highly driven and proactive individual who is motivated to contribute to the success of the team and overall business growth objectives. As you will be working in a busy, fast-paced environment, a strong understanding of compliance and the ability to quickly learn and implement new processes is essential. There may be also be the opportunity to move into other areas of broking and into a more client-focused role later down the track, so this is a great chance to get started on a clear career path with a market leader!

Your new role will involve:
  • Processing renewals, endorsements and cancellations
  • Proactively identifying client requirements & providing exceptional service
  • Using your technical & broking knowledge in the Affiinity suite of products
  • Gathering underwriting information from clients
  • Liaision & negotiation with underwriters, as well as other stakeholders
  • Invoicing & credit control
  • General administrative support

To succeed, you will need:
  • Team player with a high degree of initiative
  • Previous experience in a Broking or Broking Support role, preferrably in personal lines
  • Tier 1 & relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Strong general insurance & desire to build a long-term career in the industry
  • Excellent technical skills and strong product knowledge in Home & Contents, Landlords Insurance
  • Compliance-focused and good understanding of industry-specific legislative obligations 
  • Tech-savvy, including experience using WinBEAT/Sunrise
  • Process-driven with excellent administrative skills
  • Good organisational & time management skills
