Marketing and Communications Officer

About the role:

As a marketing and communications officer, you will be play an important role in the development and execution of a broad range of marketing materials associated with promoting the company’s brand, and promotion of programs, campaigns, and activities. 

Your duties will include:
  • Development and implementation of a communications strategy both internally and externally.
  • Provide and develop internal communications to keep staff abreast of company developments and successes.
  • Liaise with Executives to ensure the execution of relevant marketing and communications deliverables for external stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver social and digital content development for the brand including written and creative content
  • Assist with organising and managing events management, as required
  • Develop an events road map specific for the company’s interests and passions
  • Deliver on communications to ramp up events held by the business.
About you:
  • Ideally you have a degree in Communications, Marketing or Business (or other relevant area)
  • Demonstrated experience working within a Defence or Government program or project, with an understanding of the structures and culture of these organisations.
  • Experience in a similar role managing channels across the full publicity and social media spectrum, requiring you to demonstrate your creative mind and analytical drive.
  • Due to the sensitivity of the projects and programs the business is involved in, an Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA high level security clearance (NV2, TPSV) is vital.
