Payroll Manager

About the Client

This leading NSW Government Department is looking for an Payroll Manager to join their Finance team.
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide advice regarding remuneration systems, policies, practices and processes
  • Communicate payroll changes and identify implications effectively to employees
  • Provide accurate reporting information to track pay reviews
  • Prepare and process payroll transactions and end month journals
  • That good working relationship is in place with key employees and all queries and requests are dealt with to the satisfaction of all parties
  • Identify improvements to payroll processes and payroll reporting systems, continuously improve payroll processes and enhance controls over payroll
Requirement to be successful
  • Confident oral and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver accurate data within tight deadlines
  • High level stakeholder management experience
  • Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent skills and knowledge in payroll/remuneration management
  • Advanced software skills in MS Office products previous experience in the use of integrated computerised accounting systems
