About the role
Canberra based with numerous projects currently in train and others due to commence shortly, your extensive civil project management experience will be put to good use with your role involving:
  • Management of projects ensuring work output is of a technically high standard and that activities are commercially viable
  • Provision of specialised technical input into the feasibility of large projects including complex technical applications
  • Preparation and management of project schedules and resources
  • Team leadership, development and mentoring
  • Contract management and administration
  • Provision of a high level of customer service to clients
  • Negotiation with clients to affect any changes to project scope, deadlines and budgets
  • Adherence to quality system requirements, transport and road standards, processes and procedures within the ACT
 
Skills & experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in civil engineering with long term proven experience in project management on state road/highway scopes of work
  • Demonstrated knowledge & practical experience with civil infill development and urban renewal highly desirable
  • Proven contracts administration and contracts management skills
  • Sound commercial acumen accompanied by complex road transport experience
  • In depth knowledge of transport & road standards, processes and procedures within the ACT
  • Solid experience in leading a team and managing team outputs to ensure service delivery to multiple projects
  • Ability to develop strong long term relationships with clients & key stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal including strong interpersonal & influencing skills
  • Current C class manual drivers licence
