Project Manager - Information Management and Security

A qualified and experienced Project Manager is required by this federal government organisation to lead an information management and security compliance project. The project manager will be a key member of the Project Management Office and will be responsible for the end to end delivery of the project. The Project Manager will engage with a wide range of internal stakeholders with different needs and competing priorities. These include our Security, IT, Information Management teams and members of the PMO.
 
Duties:
  • Develop project documentation including project initiation documentation, project schedule, status reports, steering committee packs and closure reports
  • Manage the project scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, procurement, issues and risks
  • Review project deliverables, and ensure they are delivered on time, to a specified quality and within budget
  • Provide project status reports and steering committee packs
  • Work collaboratively with the stakeholders supporting the program to identify and manage the engagement of resources and subject matter experts in an out of the program
  • Where required, overseeing external service providers are adhering to contracts and standards
 
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated information management (Digital Continuity 2020 Policy) and security compliance experience (PSPF) with a proven record of service delivery
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, understanding of project methodologies, processes and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and well-developed planning skills
  • Experience in state or federal public sector 
  • Highly-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders and support change
  • Demonstrated ability in working cooperatively with a variety of technical staff, executive management and steering committees
  • Tertiary qualifications in project management, IT security, information management or a relevant experience are mandatory
