Our client is a federal government department providing services to support the functioning of parliament and staff including parliamentarians

About the role
With this department responsible for the repairs and maintenance to this national landmark we are seeking a highly motivated and well organised individual to develop maintenance strategies, plans and procedures ensuring compliance with statutory codes, regulations and WHS. Your duties will include:
  • Research, analysis and reporting on customer feedback
  • Management of internal and external stakeholders relationships to achieve work area goals
  • Representation of the maintenance services branch in relation to policy development
  • Providing advice and support on specific project management and coordination activities
  • Preparation of correspondence and reports including emails and letters on matters both routine and complex
  • Management of medium level projects
  • Assist in the development of specific project related policy documents for review and publication
  • Aid in the implementation of system improvement initiatives
Skills & experience
  • Proven technical and administrative skills relevant to asset & maintenance matters
  • Project management or coordination experience
  • Demonstrated experience in development of asset management framework documentation in the field of facilities management
  • Strong capability to produce high level correspondence and reports with attention to detail
  • Able to work autonomously and manage competing priorities to achieve deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with high level capability in the use of excel and word
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships
  • A collaborative approach within a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including proven liaison, negotiation and analytical skills
  • Hold a baseline clearance or the ability to apply for this clearance
