Senior Contract Manager

Our government client is seeking a Senior Contract Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring value for money is achieved through the effective performance and assurance management of Partner Contracts within their allocated portfolio. The position involves working with senior leaders within Partner organisations as well as internal stakeholders.
 
The Senior Contract Manager - leads a team and undertakes ongoing contract management activities including partner establishment, performance management and reporting, contract administration, variations and extensions management and contract close out activities. These activities require well developed leadership, stakeholder engagement, communication, negotiation, analytical and organisational skills.
 
Key duties relating to this position include:
 
  • Providing team leadership, driving process and performance improvement whilst managing a portfolio of Partner agreements;
  • Contributing to the ongoing personal development of team members ensuring performance management plans are developed, implemented and tracked in line with the Agency’s performance management requirements;
  • Undertaking ongoing contract management activities including partner establishment, performance management and reporting, contract administration, variations and extensions management and contract close out activities;
  • Monitor and drive performance and compliance in accordance with the agreement, including undertaking performance conversations and negotiations, updating Partner dashboards and reporting, taking corrective actions, ongoing issues and risk management.
 
Desirable
  • 3-5 years leadership experience in a supply chain management, procurement or contract management role.
  • Relevant business, accounting, Legal or commerce degree qualification desirable.
  • Ability to travel and engage stakeholders throughout the Agency’s network.
  • Entry Level checks will be required for all successful candidates and dependent on the role the appropriate working with children and/or vulnerable people checks may need to be undertaken as per State Legislation.
