Senior Cyber Security Engineer

I'm working with a large aviation organisation to find a Senior Cyber Security Engineer. 

This is an initial 6 month contract with potential extensions.

Working as part of a project that will enhance our clients maturity against the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s mitigation strategies, particularly the Essential Eight, you will provide technical guidance, technical leadership and technical subject matter expertise. You will work with the staff and vendors to ensure corporate and operational technology systems have implemented required controls and, based on risk, work to design compensating controls. Working within the systems development lifecycle, you will be required to develop design and other documentation as well as critically evaluate designs.
 
Specifically, you will be required to: 
  • Work as part of a team leading the technical planning, design and implementation of priority ACSC strategies to mitigate cyber security incidents.
  • Develop security requirements and security architecture artefacts with consideration of the ISM and its artefacts
  • Develop security documentation, processes and architectures
  • Provide technical security subject matter expertise, advice and guidance.
You will have the following experience:
  • Experience in design, build and run of application whitelisting solutions.
  • Technical experience implementing security controls in corporate ICT and/or operational technology environments using systems engineering methodologies
  • Experience implementing security configurations and maintaining Windows systems.
  • Experience implementing security configurations and maintaining Linux systems (particularly relating to SELinux)
  • Experience with privileged access management solutions and working with system owners to onboard systems
  • Experience with vulnerability management solutions and working with system owners to develop scan policies
  • Experience working with system owners to develop log collection plans

You will ideally have:
  • Experience developing system documentation including updating system security documentation
  • Experience in federal government security environments particularly relating to the Protective Security Policy Framework and Information Security Manual
  • Systems engineering experience as part of complex ICT programs or projects.
  • Ability to mentor and drive project team members to deliver required quality
