An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Inclusion & Diversity Communications Officer  (APS6) to join their Human Resources team on a short-term contract assignment, with potential to extend. 

About the Role

Working as part of a small and dynamic team, your responsibilities in this role will include: 
  • The development of policies, programs and strategic documents that support inclusion and diversity
  • Regular reporting of inclusion and diversity strategies and business objectives
  • Detailed technical, professional and policy advice and support in relation to inclusion and diversity
  • Engagement with a variety of stakeholders in order to progress and achieve business objectives 
  • Updating and maintenance of the team’s intranet content
  • Speech writing and talking points for organisational representatives
  • Promotional materials for the team’s key events and initiatives
  • Organisation of events marking significant days of celebration

About You
  • Experienced HR professional
  • Proven experience in designing, delivering & measuring diversity strategic initiatives
  • Outstanding written communication skills, including experience writing content
  • Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about delivering best practice, inclusive & accessible communication
  • Team player with the ability to adapt quickly in an agile, changing environment
  •  IT savvy with strong systems skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications - Human Resources, Communications or a related field
Based in Geelong, this position is a contract assignment until late October, with the possibility of extension.
