Senior Leadership Development Facilitator

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join as a Senior Leadership Development Facilitator based in either the Melbourne CBD or Geelong for a 12month initial contract with possibility of extension.

Position Purpose

Join an Australian Federal Agency and roll out the most significant social reform in a generation to change the lives of Australians with disability. To facilitate this, the Organisational Capability and Performance Branch designs, delivers and manages a number of programs that build on a foundation of adaptable and real time development solutions, as we become a ‘learning organisation’ that develops, supports and provides opportunities to its people.

As part of a busy, multi-disciplinary organisational development team, the Snr Leadership Development Facilitator will facilitate Agency wide leadership development programs and offerings across the country.

  • Delivering a variety of leadership capability development initiatives as part of the Agency’s ‘Just Brilliant’ leader series, to senior Agency leaders
  • Participate in the development of internal training and facilitator capability to delivery leadership development to emerging and new to leadership cohorts
  • Drive the monitoring and evaluation of leadership development solutions to ensure programs are impactful, strengthen leadership, management and workplace practices, and improve culture and performance.
  • Woking collaboratively with organisational development colleagues to deploy capability development initiatives.
Skills and Personal Attributes
  • Demonstrated experience as a Leadership Facilitator, with a strong background in consultancy services relating to the provision of innovative, impactful leadership development solutions using 70:20:10 methodology.
  • Contemporary attitude to disability
  • Positive contemporary attitudes to people with disability.
  • Understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals.
  • IT systems literacy, with working level proficiency required in MS Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (ELMO) and performance support systems (SharePoint) highly desirable.
  • Advanced levels of written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate complex concepts to different audiences.
  • Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying adult learning in a leadership development context.
  • Strong planning and time management skills with demonstrated success in juggling multiple tasks simultaneously, in an agile and responsive manner, whilst meeting quality and time objectives.
  • Ability to respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to synthesise and analyse information and make decisions.
  • Ideally Under or Post Graduate qualifications in Management or Leadership
  • Minimum 5 years middle management experience.
  • Extensive experience in delivery and facilitation of leadership development initiatives, including coaching and mentoring to senior managers.
  • Use and debriefing of psychometric tools.
Entry Level checks will be required for all successful candidates and dependent on the role the appropriate working with children and/or vulnerable people checks may need to be undertaken as per State Legislation.
