Senior Network Security Engineer

The Job Role
  • Support the Network Security Team Lead and the other Enterprise Network team leads, in achieving domain outcomes and objectives.
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness, focusing on assurance for system design and integrity (including safety) in relation to the delivery of ENS technologies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and technical leadership to projects during planning and execution.
  • Provide specialist technological expertise for the support and management of systems, Secure Networks and Telecommunications products and services supported by the Networks team in accordance with Company’s processes and principles.
  • Investigate and manage the correction of system defects and respond to and resolve faults and issues raised by business units and users.
  • Produce reports, feasibility studies and proposals to determine and recommend changes in the design, performance or functionality of systems strategies to achieve industry best practice.
Required Skills  
  • 5 years’ experience in the support of complex network security infrastructure deployments.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Network Security Gateway infrastructure and architecture (NGFW, ATP, DLP, Anti-Bot, Proxy AV, WAF, IPS/IDS, SIEM system, Office 365 and Mail Gateways).
  • Understanding of IT security principles including Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
  • Essential: Appropriate Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, F5, IronPort, RSA, Blue Coat, Citrix Access Gateway and Infoblox advanced certifications are essential, however industry experience in lieu of these qualifications will be consid
