Senior Project Officer

Our client is seeking for a Senior Project Officer. You will work closely with the Assistant Director in the development, management and delivery of an emerging Strategy.
This Strategy intends to encourage growth of new and better ways of providing services across Australia which will increase independence and social inclusion of the end user.
 
This team complements the broader market stewardship role undertaken by the Division. Working collaboratively with the Director and colleagues across the business, the Project Officer will possess or quickly acquire:
  • A sound understanding of the aims and functions across the Division and work activities to support a vibrant marketplace
  • A sound understanding of market structures and segments in the agency environment, including the role of participants as consumers
  • Good engagement, analytical and investigative skills to support problem solving
  • The capacity to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Excellent oral and written skills and the ability to develop reports or communication materials for a diverse audience
  • Excellent attention to detail
Your duties:
  • Support the Assistant Director in designing and managing key work programs related to our client’s Strategy.
  • Manage discrete projects, including research and collation of relevant qualitative and quantitative information, synthesise information to support decision making, identification of opportunities and options for problem solving.
  • Build an evidence base to inform and improve the effectiveness of the program of work.
  • Prepare executive correspondence, briefs, reports and advice in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Develop, implement and review internal systems or practices to support proactive coordination of team accountabilities. This includes monitoring and supporting governance processes, audit and risk items, and developing administrative processes.
  • Support development and implementation of communication and engagement plans relevant to the promotion and enablement of innovation in services delivered to participants of the “Scheme”
  • Write and/or facilitate content development processes for public facing resources and communication platforms
  • Represent the Agency in discussions with other government agencies, senior industry representatives or provider stakeholders in relation to the vision for the marketplace and the role of growth and innovation across a range of submarkets
  • Manage secretariat functions including meeting coordination, agenda planning and minute taking.
  • Liaise with, and manage external suppliers in accordance with Agency deadlines, resources, budgets and contracts.
  • Be highly flexible and employ an adaptable approach to work within a context of a newly forming and changing body of work.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and staff across the Agency to develop and implement the team’s strategic program of work, ensuring linkages between work programs are identified and cultivated.
  • Manage competing priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
  • Promote workplace practices consistent with the Agency’s policies and in accordance with their values and behaviours.
