Service Designer

My client is seeking a Service Designer for a 6 month opportunity with the option for a further 12 months.
With a possible start mid-December the role will initially go until June 2019.

The role will undertake UX delivery capabilities including user research, interactive design and business analysis on a variety of corporate priority projects.

To be considered for the role, you must be an Australian citizen, and have
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in this space
  • Experience in ethnographic research methods to understand customer needs
  • Champion of User Centred Design (UCD)
  • Awareness of Digital Service Standard (DSS)
  • Extensive experience in the design of digital services for large organisations and government
  • Knowledgeable in research and design methodology
  • Experience of producing user scenarios, service experience concepts, blueprints and detailed service design
  • Experience planning, conducting, analysing and making recommendations on emerging trends to identify and lead improvements to existing services as well as introduce innovative and industry first service experiences
  • Expertise in building and testing concepts and prototypes, supported by experts in content, solution design and other relevant disciplines
  • Strong presentation/facilitation skills and the ability to articulate and present solutions, ideas and recommendations
  • Exceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment, handling and coordinating multiple projects
  • Knowledge of, or experience in working in Agile is desirable, but not required
  • Successful track record working in cross-functional teams
