Service Engineer - Biomedical Equipment

Our client is a Global leader passionate about improving and saving the lives of patients through high quality, innovative medical devices and services.

Their products are found in hospital, emergency, home and specialty care environments and are used during critical and intensive care, surgery, post-operative care and for support in managing chronic illness.

You will be responsible for:
  • To service, repair and calibrate a range of medical devices & equipment efficiently and to meet quality standards.
  • Carry out repairs to equipment – 40% Electronic 40% Electrical 20% Mechanical
  • Provide accurate and timely repair estimates.
  • Tracking of all repairs and ensure the maintenance of the service database, including correct and complete parts usage and traceability.
  • This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site).
Ideally you will have
  • Minimum education level of TAFE Cert IV in Electronics or similar.
  • High attention to detail with accurate record keeping.
  • Knowledge of electronic components, their function, how they interact.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, including levers, transducers, pneumatics.
  • Prior experience in a workshop environment.
  • Knowledge of quality processes and systems will be highly regarded
  • Ability to apply relevant quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently, consistently and accurately on repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work safely in an electrical environment.
  • Able to manage time and work independently with a range of product service and repair tasks.
