Service Technician

Our client is looking for a Service Technician who can independently undertake safe and competent diagnosis and repairs to the clients equipment which will include electrical systems.

Looking for someone that has a background and an understanding of electrical & combustion fields with B-type gas appliance experience.

The role is for a company that designs, manufactures and services heat processing systems in the manufacturing industry. All furnaces are designed and built to Australian standards, including robust and durable body construction, quality insulation, heat uniformity, electronic control system and high-performance burners.

  • You will be required to perform maintenance, emergency and planned repairs as required on the client’s equipment.
  • Installation, commissioning, service, relocation, replacement and upgrades of equipment when required - This may include emergency call outs for breakdown work.
  • Establish a good working relationship with suppliers, authorities and customers and seek all possible sales and improvement opportunities.
  • A willingness to travel interstate and overseas from time to time.
Qualifications Required:
  • A qualified Cert 2 – (A Grade) Electrical License
  • Working with Children Check Card
  • Current Drivers licence
  • EWP, Forklift, Confined space and White Card tickets will be highly regarded.
  • The ability to work independently with excellent time management skills.
  • A good mechanical aptitude and ability to maintain and repair mechanical equipment.
  • Experience in PLC, electrical and control systems.
  • An understanding of airflows and balancing of air systems.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft WORD & EXCEL.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse on all levels to coordinate subcontractors and manage site activities for small capital jobs.
