Technical Sales Representative

The Company
We are a large international company that specialise in the sales, marketing and distribution of a large range of specialised construction and engineering products largely focused around Waterproofing, Coatings, and Sealants

The Role
Based in Dandenong & reporting to the State Sales Manager your role is to set and achieve the agreed sales goals by managing and developing the sales & distribution of our range of products and services to our client base throughout the designated Victorian region.  

Responsibilities
  • Achieve a realistic annual unit sales quota and gross-margin plans.
  • Regularly call on key Architects, Asset Owners and Managers, Contractors as well as prospective specifiers and contractors
  • Defines sales objectives by forecasting and developing personal annual sales quotas; projecting expected sales volume, revenue and unit gross profit, for existing and new products.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to expand existing client base and sales opportunities.
  • Keep up to date with competitor activity and prices and report to State Sales Manager.
  • Maintain professional and technical industry knowledge through trade & networking events.
  • Uphold company moral standards, legal and ethical guidelines at all times.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Preferred formal sales qualifications combined with previous successful achievement in field sales
  • Exposure and understanding of waterproofing, Coatings, Sealants and Glazing systems
  • A broad range of computer skills, with general competencies in Microsoft office and SAP
  • Good time management and organization skills
  • A valid Australian driver’s licence is essential for this position
  • Experience developing budgets, business plans & forecasting
  • Established industry network
  • Channel management experience
  • Key account management experience
  • Fluent command of English (Written & Spoken)
  • Ability to define and sell Value rather than Price
  • High-level presentation skills
