Web Design and Content Officer

Ignite are currently recruiting for a senior website officer for a 7 month contract, redeveloping web presence of our client to ensure a fit-for-purpose, user-focused to deliver a great new web platform.

In this role, the Web Design and Content Officer will focus on web content, user experience, testing and work collaboratively with the communications and web project team.

Your duties will include:
  • Liaise on the web design and development of the Drupal 9 website to ensure it meets user needs and provides an optimal user experience.
  • Assist in the analysis, review, migration, and rewriting of web content including development of micro content for example: landing pages, home page, taxonomies and publications pages.
  • Contribute to the planning, design, development and testing of wireframes, interface designs and user testing activities including IA testing and card sorting.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively with communications account managers and program area subject matter experts to review, redevelop and migrate web content.
  • Assist in the delivery of website management documentation including user guides and procedures.
  • Contribute to the project to ensure the delivery of goals and milestones to meet project deadlines.
Essential criteria
  • Current Baseline clearance
  • Front-end website and content publishing skills including an extensive understanding of HTML, CSS, UX, Government Style Manual, Digital Service Standards, SEO and WCAG.
  • Demonstrated experience in content design, interaction design, user experience and user research.
  • Demonstrated experience in publishing and managing content in Drupal 7, and either Drupal 8 or 9 websites including designing and managing taxonomies, content blocks and views.
  • Thorough understanding and experience with web publishing in a government organisation, and previous experience working on a Drupal website development project
  • High interpersonal skills including attention to detail, taking initiative and ownership, sound judgement, and ability to effectively prioritise tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships with a high degree of interpersonal and communication skills.
