Workplace Services Officer

As a Commonwealth agency leader, our client’s mission in Workplace Services is to create an environment where people can do their best work, now and into the future. They work collaboratively with various service providers to manage the client’s building operations and services across Australia through:

  • Managing faults, repairs and maintenance within tenancy areas
  • Servicing customers on a wide range of building and operational matters
  • Audits and checks within all sites
  • Fleet car management and booking system
  • Provision of operational taxi transport
  • Meeting room and corporate event setups

Our client, who is located on the south side of Brisbane, is seeking an experienced Administrator who will undertake general administrative tasks with a specific focus on room checks and event set ups. You will also spend time on the service desk from time to time to assist with enquiries.


  • Maintaining quality and integrity of records on internal systems to verify and ensure accuracy of data, record interactions and decisions
  • Provide advice within constraints of policy guidelines
  • Communicate and negotiate with stakeholders and escalating issues as required  
  • Understand specific stakeholder needs and interpret a variety of legislation, policies and procedures
  • Participate in development and training activities of the work area
  • Understand and apply knowledge, experience and skills required by the work area to achieve business outcomes

Must have:

  • Proven experience in customer service and building management
  • Ability to communicate, build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • A ‘can do’ attitude
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and organise workload
  • Be solution-focused


  • Current driver’s license
This role requires an applicant to frequently walk and take stairs, as well as lifting, moving tables and bending.
