Due to targeted growth and change within the Ignite business structure, we are seeking an Assistant Accountant to aid with support of the Finance team.
Ignite, is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: CND) and is a company limited by shares, incorporated and domiciled in Australia.

The Company is organised around four labour related operating segments across two geographic regions. In Australia and New Zealand, these segments the provision of permanent and contingent recruitment and payroll services (“Specialist Recruitment”); on demand human resources (“On Demand”); and outsourced recruitment and human resource consulting services (“People Services”); while in China it is Specialist Recruitment.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

This is a broad role that requires a pro-active, hands on Assistant Accountant.  The business is experiencing ongoing change providing the opportunity to be involved in ad hoc projects and contribute to constant process improvement.

Your duties will include:

Management Reporting
  • Process monthly journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations
  • Assist with annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Assist with BI tools (TM1) reporting
  • Analyse large volumes of financial data to deliver and present monthly margin reports to senior management under time constraints
  • Prepare monthly consultant commission calculations
  • Assist in delivering monthly profit and loss to the board with meaningful commentary and analysis
  • Assist in developing financial models to provide insightful analysis for all levels of the business
  • Assist in the development of the company’s financial systems and operating processes
  • Build effective and co-operative relationships within the wider business to assist in business decisions
Financial Reporting
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with management of Fixed asset register (additions, disposals & depreciation)
  • Assist in preparing the annual and half year statutory accounts and audit for an ASX listed entity
  • Other ad hoc requirements from management
 Qualifications & experience
  • 2+ year’s commercial experience
  • CA/CPA part-qualified
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and TM1 preferable
  • ASX listed company experience ideal
  • Advanced computer software skills, including Excel macros and other accounting packages

  • Excel financial modelling experience
  • Broad experience and knowledge of accounting systems
 Software Applications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • MS Navision experience ideal
  • IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) experience ideal
