How it Works

1. Confirm Role & Job Description

When you get in touch with Ignite, you’ll be assigned one of our Canberra recruitment team members who has experience in the appropriate industry. Your account manager will get in touch to discuss the role you’re hiring and the requirements of the candidate, so we can get to work on outlining a job description. The job description needs to align with the role, and capture the attention of the right people.

2. Candidate Search

We leverage our extensive network, employee referrals, and internal applications to actively source and assess candidates for the position. Working exclusively in technology, engineering, and information management, our recruiters have a strong hold on the current landscape and the movers and shakers in the industry.

3. Screen & Shortlist Applicants

We then review, screen, and shortlist applicants to ensure that those that go to the next stage of interviews align with the job requirements. Building a strong candidate list is crucial in the recruitment process to reduce the candidate pool to only include those most qualified and suited to the job.

4. Interviewing Candidates

The next stage of the recruitment process involves carefully evaluating and assessing the talent through interviews. Depending on the role, this may include multiple rounds of interviews, proficiency and skill tests, and assessments specific to the position. While a candidate may look perfect on paper, we also want to make sure they are a good fit. Our recruitment team will use this stage to understand attitude, aptitude, and general suitability to the company.

5. Selection & Hiring

Concluding interviews, we will put forward our list of recommended candidates for the job, once we have performed the required background and reference checks. The next stage will involve your team selecting or choosing to hire the candidate, and offering an employment contract. We can assist in the entire hiring process, from negotiation of contract terms to onboarding the new employee.
