1. Initial consultation:

One of Ignite’s Perth IT recruiters will work through the brief. The conversation will cover the responsibilities of the role, from network engineers and systems administrators to cloud, cyber, and service desk. It also covers the technical requirements: the platforms and certifications the role needs, and the security clearance level for government and defence work.

2. Sourcing candidates:

We search our database of more than 870,000 candidates for the right experience, across AWS and Azure, network, and infrastructure environments. A strong IT candidate in Perth may already be working and not applying to ads – we’re always open to approaching the right talent directly through referral networks and targeted searches.

3. Interviews:

Shortlisted candidates are interviewed against the technical brief. The interview will test capability in the relevant platform, verify the depth of a candidate’s project history, and establish how they work within a team and alongside stakeholders.

4. Technical assessments:

For a role with a defined technical requirement, a candidate may complete a skills assessment in the specific tool, language, or system needed, from cloud and network configuration to security.

5. References and checks:

A candidate is reference-checked against their stated experience and performance. For government and defence work, Ignite confirms security clearance at baseline, NV1, or NV2 level, and any other agency-specific and APS requirements that apply.

6. Placement:

Ignite recruiters will present a shortlist of qualified, reference-checked candidates for the client to review and make a decision.

7. Ongoing Support:

All clients are provided with ongoing account management to ensure that the onboarding and tenure is smooth sailing.
