The APS6 Project Officer will support senior members of the Ministerial, Parliamentary, FOI and Royal Commissions Branch to undertake sensitive work that is of significant public interest. The role will work across multiple projects, leading independently as well as contributing to projects across the branch.
The APS6 Project Officer will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues. It may liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a representational role on behalf of the branch.
The Freedom of Information (FOI) team is responsible for managing and responding to all FOI requests received. The team manage requests for access to documents, including requests for information to be changed if it is incomplete, out of date, incorrect or misleading. The team also manage requests seeking a review of an officer's decision regarding access to a document or not to amend a person's personal record.
The Royal Commissions (RC) team is responsible for managing and responding to all requests from a Royal Commission. The team responds to requests for information (both by locating and providing documents and also preparing background papers and witness statements), coordinating requests and liaising with other government departments/agencies and external consultants.

Undertaking procedural and administrative functions to support branch objectives, including tracking, monitoring and reporting on stakeholder management interactions and activities
