APS 6 - Senior Risk Officer - Obligations Monitoring & Reporting

Our client is a dynamic Federal Government organisation that has had a number of vacancies arise within their Risk & Compliance division, both at APS6 & EL1 level. These positions include a contract opportunity for an APS6 - Senior Risk Officer - Regulatory Monitoring & Compliance. 

This is a varied position where you will be responsible for a number of tasks, including:

  • Supporting the delivery of the Regulatory Assurance Program and providing recommendations;
  • Reviewing and advising Risk Partners and Business Owners on the appropriateness and quality of key controls to support regulatory compliance;
  • Assisting the administration associated with maintenance of obligation registers;
  • Monitoring and analysing trends in mitigating compliance risks, including risk treatment plans used to minimise potential exposure and harness opportunities;
  • Collaborating with the other risk management stakeholders where appropriate, leveraging content and subject matter experts;
  • Supporting the delivery of the Issues & Incidents Management Framework;
  • Providing analysis and preparation of high level reporting related to regulatory risk and escalated incidents to ensure effective monitoring of risk and opportunity;
  • Preparation of reporting on regulatory compliance, assurance outcomes, control issues and escalated incidents;
  • Coordinating and liaising with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required.
