APS 6 Fraud and Compliance Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for reviewing projects and operations with respect to fraud and compliance
  • Undertake financial administration across the branch including budgeting, monitoring, forecasting, project financials and accruals
  • Undertake detailed financial analysis including evaluation of budgets to forecasts
  • Analyse financial trends with the objective of identifying risks and opportunities
  • Quality assurance of financial forecasting and project cost estimates
  • Production of written correspondence for stakeholders, including financial reports, corporate documentation and responses to requests for information
 

Background:

 

  • Minimum relevant tertiary qualification and ideally, working towards CPA/CA status
  • An awareness of contemporary accounting issues in the Federal Government arena
  • Experience having undertaken a similar role in Government incorporating both compliance and fraud
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Australian citizenship is essential
