APS4 - Workplace Support Officer

Our client, a progressive Federal Government organisation experiencing rapid growth, is seeking an APS4 Workplace Support Officer to assist their HR Business Partnering/People & Culture team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR Coordinator or HR Administrator, looking to gain experience in the government sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake case management activities
  • Provide support and advice to stakeholders in relation to the provision of workplace supports.
  • Manage Workplace and Job Access Assessments and assist with implementing recommendations
  • Provide Assistance with the development and update of policy and procedures
  • Manage team email inboxes, calendars and appointments
  • Prepare replies to employees’ queries and correspondence
  • Provide assistance with the development and ongoing management of intranet content
  • Undertake research tasks
  • Assist with the preparation of communications and marketing materials
  • Assist with administrative and support functions as required.
About You:
  • Knowledge of general HR policies or practices
  • An understanding of the legislative requirements of the public sector - or the ability to quickly build this knowledge to achieve the required outcomes
  • Strong written communication
  • Office administration skills
  • Stakeholder management, including ability to communicate with employees, managers and executives
  • Ability to accurately complete work within timeframes and quality requirements
  • Ability to organise and structure work with sound time management skills 
  • Management of competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • High level customer service
  • Being flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve business outcomes.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Previous experience in HR + background in Workplace Diversity/WHS highly desirable
Please note this is a twelve month contract assignment, based in Geelong, paid on an hourly rate of $41.64 + super.
