APS5 Executive Assistant

About the Role
The Executive Assistant to the Deputy CEO is located in the Office of the CEO and will be responsible for providing the D/CEO with high level executive and administration support.
In the role of Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for:
  • Providing high quality direct administration support to the D/CEO.
  • Managing the D/CEO’s diary effectively and sensitively.
  • Producing high quality documents for the CEO in a timely manner.
  • Communicating with stakeholders effectively to ensure the D/CEOs time is leveraged effectively
  • Work cohesively as part of the broader corporate administration team, and support the achievement of team goals.
  • Contributing to developing and maintaining consistent, quality process across the team.
 
To be sucessful in this role you will have demonstrative
  • Experience in Executive administration, ideally at the SES level in an issue rich working environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the demonstrated ability to build and maintain high quality relationships with stakeholders to achieve and produce high quality outcomes.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively contribute to a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement to make contributions to best practice administration processes.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, the APS Values, APS Employment Principles and the APS Code of Conduct.
 
                                                                                                                                                                           
Qualification and other requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role supporting senior executives in a government agency.
  • Australian Citizenship is a requirement of this position.
  • Qualifications in administration, or other relevant disciplines highly desirable.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo employment checks and/or obtain a security clearance (if they do not already possess).
