APS5 Staff Skills Strategy Administrator

In 2019, this large Federal Government agency released a new Learning and Development Strategy. The purpose of this project is to implement the Staff Skills Strategy component which is the development of an Internal Staff Skills Development System.
The purpose of the system is to have a clear understanding of the staff skill sets the organisation requires to perform its charter and what the skill gaps are at any point in time. Being an organisation with an annual 30% turnover of staff, it is critical for the organisation to have training available just-in-time for new starters to minimise loss of productivity.
A key output of this project is a staff skills matrix that identifies the skill sets of every position, the incumbent’s skill gaps and the development and monitoring of individual staff learning plans.
We are seeking an individual to provide support to the project during data collection phase, training needs analysis phase and the development of the skills matrix. We are seeking an individual with learning and development experience, as well as advanced MS Office skills, specifically Word 2016, Excel 2016 and Access 2016.
In this role, you will assist in the:
  • Collection of position tasking data to create job/task profiles for approximately 200 staff

  • Creation of an organisational skills matrix for approximately 200 staff.
