APS6 Contract Management

The Partner Contracts Branch within this Federal Government organisation manages the sourcing of new partners, contract management for partners and reviews contract terms and conditions to ensure they align with policy and legal requirements. The branch monitors and manages partner performance and provides advice on partner contracts to ensure the services delivered are timely, cost effective and of high quality.

The APS6 Contract Management responsibility is to ensure value for money is achieved through the effective performance and assurance management of partner contracts within their allocated portfolio. The position will undertake contract management activities within a portfolio of partner contracts, including regular engagement with partner representatives. It will manage competing priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy.

Responsibilities include:
  • Undertaking ongoing contract management activities including partner establishment, performance management and reporting, contract administration, variations and extensions management and contract close out activities
  • Supporting governance, assurance and record keeping over agreements including ensuring information management, financial management, risk management and operational management requirements
  • Developing and leading individual continuous improvement projects and change management activities including procedures and processes, systems and knowledge management
  • Establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with stakeholders, including partners and internal stakeholders
  • Undertaking ongoing reviews of partner agreements to ensure compliance to branch procedures, accurate and high-quality data and systems compliance
  • Responding to enquiries, issues, disputes, requests for information, departmental brief requirements and ongoing reporting as required.
This is a full time 12 month contract starting in February 2021 and located in Geelong. The successful candidate will require an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) clearance.
