APS6 Finance Officer

We are hiring an APS 6 Senior Finance Officer for a government Client, till 30 June 2022
Branch: Finance
Location: Melbourne CBD, Geelong Broadmeadows.
  • Manage debt recovery processes in line within the Scheme Debt Management Policy, including liaison with providers and participants to negotiate payment arrangements, debt write-offs and waivers.
  • Preparation of invoices, including payment request cancellation as required.
  • Development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures for the team, including process mapping requirements.
  • Exercising appropriate delegations in accordance with legislation and guidelines.
  • Managing quality assurance activities for Compensation and Freedom of Information requests.
  • Preparing a range of written material including business cases, reports and corporate documentation.
  • Assist in the processing of large unique SAP payments.
  • Staff management responsibilities, including developing staff capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning.
 
Desirable skills and experience:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable.
  • Government Financial Management experience and qualifications
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable experience
  • SAP system experience, including chart of accounts
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong team leadership skills and experience
