Automation Test Engineer

Ignite is actively seeking Automation Test Engineers to work for federal government in Melbourne CBD. In this role, you will contribute to business planning, changes in workplace practices and innovative improvement strategies and will be a part of an Agile MDT.

Initial contract until the 30th of July 2023 x2 12-month extensions

Must be Australian Citizen to be eligible for this position


Duties will include:
  • Develop and lead the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing cycles.
  • Utilize the approved test automation frameworks to develop automation in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using HP ALM or similar tools.
  • Assist with defining requirements for the test environments.
  • Contribute to team improvement initiatives and projects, including team tools, process changes, and test automation identify, analyse, manage and document all defects, programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications.
Skills and experience required:
  • 3+ years of experience -Automation Test development and or JavaScript Development
  • Strong familiarity and experience with utilizing testing tools ie: HP ALM Quality Centre and Test Automation tools for ensuring all allocated test cases and test scripts are executed and test defects are managed
  • Experience working with Docker/Kubernetes, Gitlab CI or other demonstrated experience with DevOps is desirable
  • Working in an Agile Environment
