About the role:

  • Reconciliation, preparation and lodgement of monthly or quarterly business activity statements (BAS)
  • Recording transactions such as income and expenses, and posting them to various accounts in accounting software
  • Managing the accounts payable function including the processing of invoices due for payment
  • Managing the accounts receivable function including the allocation of payments
  • Processing payroll and maintaining employee records
  • Producing various financial reports including producing balance sheets, income statements and other financial documents
  • Reconciling reports to third-party records such as bank statements
  • General administrative tasks

About you:

  • 2 years + bookkeeping/accounting experience
  • Have a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping/ a Certificate IV in Accounting or currently completing a Bachelor of Accounting
  • Previous experience with Accounting Software with at least advanced level of proficiency
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong level of accuracy & attention to detail
  • Ability to take responsibility and be accountable for workload
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a broader team
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel
  • Ability to progress into an accounting role
