Business Analyst

Our client is currently looking for a Business Analyst with experience working on large projects and documenting and analysing key business requirements and processes. This is currently an opportunity to join their team for an initial 6 month contract with the potential to extend for a further 6 months. 


What's Required:

The primary purpose of the Business Analyst is to work with identified business areas within EPMO to analyse and document business requirements and processes to inform the delivery of a technology solution.

Knowledge and experience in aligning business processes / requirements with the functionality of D365 Customer Service Delivery (on MS Dynamics)- essential for this role.


The role will be required to:

Clearly document business requirements, including the prioritisation, analysis and identification of;

• Business processes and workflows;
• Users and interactions;
• Use case scenarios;
• Data requirements;
• Record storage capacity required;
• Reporting requirements; and
• Non-functional requirements.

Work with relevant business areas to comprehensively analyse required business processes, data and information management practices, and to document specific business requirements;

Critically evaluate information gathered and reconcile conflicts, decompose high level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding and distinguish user requests from the underlying needs;

Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans;

Develop clear and comprehensive documentation on business requirements, that will assist in development of functional specifications for solutions;

Contribute and assist the Project Manager in the development of project documentation in line with the Project's Framework;

The Business Analyst will be required to coordinate the business processes / requirements across several of the digital and data projects that may be replaced by D365 Customer Service Delivery (on MS Dynamics).


The Business Analyst is required to have the following specialist skills:

· The ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence;
· Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements;
· Sensitivity to working in a political environment and to interacting with senior leadership;
· Extensive experience in business and systems analysis, including business process analysis;
· Demonstrated experience in information analysis, with strong interpretative and analytical skills including the ability to think clearly, concisely and interpret non-specific requirements of management and professional staff;
· The ability to present information to various audiences such as education professionals, senior managers and operational personnel;
· Experience in development and interpretation of user and functional specifications for system enhancements;
· Highly developed organisational skills including proven ability to deliver successful outcomes while working on multiple tasks, competing priorities and critical deadlines;
· Highly developed written, oral and interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise, consult, collaborate and negotiate effectively and strategically with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
· High standard of personal integrity and conduct including the ability to successfully work with teams of diverse backgrounds, skills and experience; and
· Tertiary qualification in ICT or related discipline.
