CNC Machinist

Working for this global leader in industrial engineering parts, you will be involved in the manufacturing, repair, assembly and testing of mechanical products. Your day will involve programming and operating OKUMA CNC machinery as well as operating lathes, milling machines and other equipment.
To be successful, you must have:
  • Fitter and Turner trade qualifications or equivalent
  • Experience in a high-end manufacturing/machining environment
  • CNC programming and operating experience
  • Tool shop or making and/or jobbing shop experience
  • Ability to understand, interpret and machine from technical drawings and specifications
  • Familiar with precision instruments like Micrometer, Bora dial gauge, slip gauges, etc.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of OH&S practices
  • Experience in LB3000, LB4000 and MU400 is preferred but not essential.
