Change and Communications Advisor

Ignite are currently recruiting for a Change and Communications Manager to join a federal government department for a 12 month contract, with the possibility of an extension based in Canberra.
The Communications and Change Manager will work closely with the project team to support stakeholders to adapt to the new ways of working through the new business system within the department.
Duties include:
  • Create and manage communication material and project documentation including the Change Management Plan;
  • Support stakeholder engagement to ensure project objectives are aligned and benefits are realised;
  • Implement change and manage stakeholder communications;
  • Design and develop business templates and dashboards to meet reporting requirements delivered through new business system;
  • Create and manage training material and run stakeholder training;
  • Run project change activities including ongoing change readiness assessments and incorporate feedback into ongoing change plans to monitor and report change taking effect;
Essential criteria
  • Experience in applying Change Management Methodology such as Prosci / ADKAR in large-scale organisations;
  • Communication & change management qualifications highly desirable;
  • Supported the successful delivery of communications and organisational change in a major business transformation;
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organisation and support the Project Manager, Business Owners and Change Sponsors;
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle and change management;
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences;
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships;
  • Organised with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics; and
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
