About the Role

The APS6 Community Engagement and Communications Officer is a team membership position that may be required to perform work that involves team leadership and management responsibilities including the setting of priorities and managing workflows of a team. It will require working collaboratively within the team including sharing and developing specialised knowledge in areas of expertise.

 
The APS6 Community Engagement and Communications Officer will provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. It may be required to coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy 

The role will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues. 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:


  • Working across the branch and with other business areas to support a strategic and proactive events strategy and associated logistics,
  • Building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Producing content for a variety of channels
  • Coordinating critical data analysis and feedback to measure effectiveness of activities and strategies, including identifying associated risks and trends.
  • Undertaking document management of event documentation to support team and senior leadership visibility on event planning status, risk management and data collection.
