A well-known NSW Government organisation looking to add a Financial Controller to their team! Initially a 12 month contract with potential to extend.

Responsibilities may include:
- Implement and maintain the project cost control plan.
- Manage and update project cost forecasts for the current financial year and estimate at the completion of the project life cycle.
- Provide time phasing for the financial year and project life forecast aligned to the project schedule.
- Ensure that the project cost data is captured accurately and is reflective of the current cost position of the project, including approved changes, remaining contingency, risk and opportunities forecast, commitments, actual costs to date and estimated costs to complete.
- Prepare and review monthly accruals and cost recoveries, budget reallocations and transfers per approved change orders and produce project accruals reports.
- Present and communicate with department stakeholders.
Skills and Personal Attributes:
- Experience in a similar role at a senior level.
- Strong organisational skills including a demonstrated ability to plan, set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide an accurate and timely service to relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- MUST have full working rights.
- Ideally CPA qualified and from a Transport or Railway background - not essential but highly desirable.
