Cyber Security Trainer / Awareness Lead

The Role & Opportunity
You will be working as a Cyber Security Trainer/Awareness Lead within the Information Technology Services (ITS) department of our client and will responsible for delivering and managing strategies, methodologies, communications campaigns and training plans to raise the awareness of cybersecurity matters to drive a cultural and behavioural change across staff, partners and contractors. You will play a key role in communicating and educating all stakeholders on cybersecurity threats, risks and end user accountabilities across the organization.
 

Key Deliverables:
  • Responsible for the vision, development, and execution of all Cybersecurity related change, training awareness and communications services, including detailed best practices.
  • Coordinate with Cybersecurity Uplift Program Manager to meet program-specific change, training and communications requirements to enhance overall security awareness.
  • Develop strategic and tactical plans to drive cultural, behavioural and process changes across the IT and business projects and operational activities.
  • Manage the development of effective internal written material and assist in the communication of messages to senior leadership.
  • Work closely with the marketing and communications groups and specialists to ensure alignment and adoption of security awareness.
  • Conduct Security Education, Training and Awareness briefings, annual refresher training, and foreign travel, espionage, cyber security, special access, and other briefings.
  • Partner with senior internal stakeholders – including HR, legal, Colleges and school in the development, execution and measurement of communications activities including, awareness campaigns, training and phishing exercises.
  • Continuously update security awareness products to maintain accuracy, relevance and alignment with changing security threat landscape and risks.
  • Provide organisational change management guidance and leadership to design and embed security controls and services within the organisation.
  • Design and co-ordinate creation of collateral across training, marketing, communications, social media, videos, posters, booklet and other related channels.
 
Essential Experience and Skills:
  • Knowledge or Training equivalent to: Post graduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience, or extensive experience and management expertise, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education.
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication capabilities including, advanced skills in all visual communication design formats, including graphics and video for maximum impact, and the ability to simplify complex messages.
  • Extensive understanding of Information Security systems and processes.
  • Ability to develop and implement comprehensive multi-channel strategic education plans designed to build awareness, enhance culture and change behaviours.
  • Experienced change agent across Information Security, demonstrable experience in creating change in practices, in order to add value.
  • Ability in managing and facilitating change impact, including stakeholder impact assessment sessions, in order to articulate benefits and impact of change.
  • Proven excellence in identifying, evaluating and reporting communications key performance indicators and metrics.
  • Propensity for identifying and engaging key stakeholders and influencers to drive change and enhance culture.
  • Demonstrated capacity to understand and comply with employer policy and practices in all aspects of work and conduct, including OH&S and Anti-Discrimination responsibilities and complete/attend relevant training.
