Demand Analyst

The Role & Opportunity:
You will be working as a Demand Planner within the Integrated Demand Planning team of our telecommunications client and will be involved in harnessing their knowledge and resources across the business to produce a Demand Forecast that will be used in the Sales & Operations Planning process.
 
The Demand Planner will plan, analyse and interpret data and assumptions to consolidate into meaningful and accurate material demand plans.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Drive the weekly & monthly Demand Planning cycle.
  • Conduct routine forecast variation analysis; put forth recommendations to amend forecasts in alignment with demand drivers.
  • Ensure monthly dollarized forecasts are presented to the management team.
  • Co-ordinate with the Demand Planning team to ensure all Demand Decks are updated on time. Consolidate the Demand Planning Decks using PowerPoint in preparation for the Demand Review.
  • Maintain and update demand plans.
  • Review historical trends, investigate demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results within planning portfolio.
  • Conduct routine analysis into Demand Planning attributes to support the item master.
 
Skills and experience required:
  • At least 3 years’ experience in demand planning.
  • Relevant Tertiary education or APICS certification.
  • ERP/Demand planning tool experience (Oracle Preferred).
  • Understanding of integrated business planning and MRP principles.
  • Ability to analyse the data & use the data to communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, lead others through change and a self-driven can do attitude.
  • Ability to analyse a situation, make knowledgeable decisions & influence others by getting their buy in.
  • Ability to lead cross functional senior stakeholders to deliver outcomes from demand process.
  • Mature presentation skills with ability to communicate and engage at multiple levels.
  • Strong PC skills (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills.
