Deploy Designer

The Role & Opportunity:

Our government client is currently looking for a Deploy Designer who will be responsible for designing the plan and approach for deployment of work packages that is fit-for-purpose for the work package and its constituent features. This includes identification of pilot site (if applicable), pre-implementation interventions such as training, post-implementation activities such as incident reporting and management methods, logistical arrangements and resource requirements and key processes to be followed to ensure successful roll-out of the work package at the pilot site or nationally.
This would involve:
  • Developing the approach and framework for deployment indicating the type of activities that need to be undertaken prior to implementation and post implementation. This may include detailed design options around interventions such as training, deployment of floorwalkers, effective incident management etc.
  • Driving consultation with various stakeholders within and outside of the project teams for critical deployment related decision making such as pilot location (if applicable), resourcing requirements for the deployment and timelines.
  • Working closely with the Deploy Evaluation Lead to define the key outcomes and success measures for each deployment
  • Developing the project plan for the each deployment including detailed timelines around the roll-out and definition of milestones over the course of the deployment.
  • Identifying the work-packages within the solution that require pilot implementations prior to national roll-out and incorporate the pilot implementation into the deployment plan for these.
  • Leading ongoing refinements to the efficiency and effectiveness of the deployment methods across the design, test and learn cycle. Conduct ‘lessons learnt’ sessions to identify opportunities to improve and ensure that these are incorporated into subsequent deployment plans.
  • Designing detailed processes to support the deployment of work-packages as per defined plan including ways of working amongst project and business teams through the course of the deployment
  • Working closely with the scrum team to gain a strong understanding of the design of the solution and incorporate this understanding into the design of the deployment plan
  • Working closely with the Design teams and the business teams to understand the impacts of these changes and incorporate these into the design
  • Presenting the deployment plan (including pilot implementation plan, if applicable) and
